This year, the cars will be displayed along the eight-block stretch from 26th Avenue to Oak Avenue, which is the central portion of the promenade that underwent structural rehabilitation during the Boardwalk Renovation Project's Phases I & II. Cars will not be lined up south of Schellenger Avenue, where Phase III of the project is set to begin, and there will be no vehicles on the North Wildwood portion of the Boardwalk.

However, the show will continue at the Wildwoods Convention Center, which has offered additional display areas in front of the building and the semi-circle abutting the Boardwalk. The event promoters requested the return of the show to the Boardwalk, and although it won't be in its entirety, it's a start, and there are hopes for further progress in the coming years.
The engineering firm's assessment indicates that the Boardwalk between 26th & Oak Avenues will be able to safely accommodate 130 vehicles with at least 8 feet of spacing between each. Cars will load on and off via the ramp at Juniper Avenue.
The Fall Classic Car Show is traditionally held on the third weekend after Labor Day and is one of the island's signature events during the "second season" schedule, which is the post-summer period. The event was absent from the Boardwalk for the past three seasons due to structural issues addressed by the Boardwalk Renovation Project. In 2020, the event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and it was held along Pacific Avenue in 2021 and 2022.
The return of the car show to the Boardwalk follows the announcement of the comeback of the "Monsters on the Beach" monster truck events after a three-year absence.
The Greater Wildwood Hotel/Motel Association, which oversees Wildwood Motor Sports, expressed their excitement about bringing back these signature events. They believe it will benefit the local hotels, motels, and businesses, and contribute to the expansion of the Wildwoods' reshaped fall events calendar.
The car show's success is also attributed to the support of local business partners. This year, East Side Surf Shop, Pink Cadillac Diner, Mack's Pizza, Douglass Candies, and the Cape May Whale Watcher will sponsor the event.
