Atlantic Coast Championships featuring 225 competitive scholastic and independent units from nine states in the mid-Atlantic region, with performers of all ages, as they compete in color guard, percussion ensemble, dance team, twirling, jazz band, and marching winds annual championships. -May 7, Feasting On History Fundraiser

Historic Cold Spring Village kicks off the 2024 season with its signature fundraiser, Feasting on History.  The annual restaurant gala is one of the most anticipated social events of the season offering guests an opportunity to network with businesses and the community before the summer season begins.  Feasting on History is now in its 23rd year and promises to be an amazing and fun event. It will be held at the Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum at the Cape May Airport on Tuesday, May 7th at 6 pm.  Cape May County’s favorite restaurants, wineries, distilleries, and breweries generously donate delicious food, signature dishes, wine, craft beers, and desserts.  Last year over 500 guests enjoyed a night of food, music, and networking while celebrating the mission of Historic Cold Spring Village.


-May 10-11, The Wildwoods Spring Car Show

 

After a years-long absence, the Wildwoods Spring Car Show will once again be held on the world famous Wildwoods Boardwalk as the Spring Kustom Rod and Muscle Car Show comes to the Jersey Shore - Friday, May 10 and Saturday, May 11!

As the sun rises over the Atlantic Ocean, the sound of revving engines will fill the air, signaling the start of a weekend packed with classic cars, hot rods and vintage vehicles.  The Spring Custom Rod and Muscle Show will feature classic cars displayed from 26th Street to Oak Avenues on the Wildwoods Boardwalk, where visitors can stroll the boards and experience the craftsmanship and beauty of hundreds of restored classic cars from 10 am to 3 pm.  As the cars exit the Boardwalk at approximately 3 pm Saturday afternoon, the top 40 cars from the show will be on display in Downtown Wildwood at Byrne Plaza. Show winners will be announced at 6 pm from the stage at Byrne Plaza, with prizes awarded to the Top 40, Best of Show Stock and Best Modified.  This event will be held rain or shine.

On May 18, 2024, the Coast Guard Community Festival will again be held at U.S. Coast Guard Training Center Cape May. The gates to the base are open to the public to explore all the sights, ships, helicopters, food and shopping vendors, live music, kid-friendly activities and much more. It is another unique opportunity to mingle amongst our Coast Guard members, their families, and Recruits as well as attendees from Cape May County and beyond. The event is FREE!

On Sunday, May 28, 2023, the 6th Annual Run to Remember will be held in North Wildwood to benefit our veterans and those that have lost loved ones in service to their county. This run is going towards a great cause for our veterans who have guarded our borders and protected our country. All proceeds from this event will be donated to our veterans. Registration fee is $35. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the race starts at 8:30 a.m.

This is a chip timed event with the following award categories: 1st overall male and female and top male and female in the following age groups: 1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. -June 22, Atlantic City Grand Prix Power Boat Race

The Atlantic City Grand Prix will bring world-class powerboat racing in the ocean in view of those on the Boardwalk and beaches, officials announced this week. The Offshore Powerboat Association has partnered with Visit Atlantic City and the resort’s casinos to bring the event to the city.  The regatta will be the first event of the OPA National Championship Series on the northern East Coast of the United States.  Some of the fastest and most renowned racing teams from around the world will compete. Fans will get to see long, high-powered boats slicing through the water at amazing speed.

-June 27, Mid-Atlantic Yacht Racing Youth Regatta 

Wildwood Crest, Sunset Lake. Over 100 youth sailors ages 9 – 18 from numerous clubs will compete in the Mid-Atlantic Yacht Racing Association’s South Jersey Summer Series regatta hosted by the Greater Wildwood Yacht Club. Sailors will depart from The Greater Wildwood Yacht Club in Wildwood Crest, 6501 Park Blvd., with races being visible from a variety of locations along Sunset Lake. Rio Grande Avenue Beach. The New Jersey Jeep Invasion is the largest gathering of Jeeps in the Northeast with over 2000 Jeeps in attendance, and over 100 of the top vendors in the industry. All Jeeps and vendors are parked on the beach for this three day event, which even includes a beach obstacle course. The event is family friendly and has become a yearly vacation for many of our participants and vendors! The Run the Crest 5K is set to begin at 7 am, with the Run the Crest 10-miler following at 8 am. Those who wish to complete a half marathon can run in both races. The Crest Kids Fun Run, open to children ages 10 and under, will be held at 11 am.  The event will feature individual and team registration.
