Over the course of its 200-year history, Congress Hall has been referred to as everything from the "Summer White House" to "America's First Seaside Resort." This historic property sits right on the beachfront in Cape May and is also within the town's historic district.

This storied resort, which has hosted world leaders, celebrities, and other A-listers over the centuries, underwent extensive renovations before its re-opening in 2021. Today, it retains its American heritage style décor throughout, but with modern upgrades.

Many of its rooms and suites have gorgeous ocean views from furnished balconies. Regardless of views, each room is done-up in blue and white hues and features hand-dyed, high-quality linens draped over comfy beds. A popular wedding venue, Congress Hall also has a bridal suite available.

Amenities here include direct access to the beach, where guests can use the sun loungers and umbrellas. There is also a swimming pool with more cushioned chairs. The house restaurant cooks up fresh and tasty fare, the fitness center offers yoga and other classes, and the spa has a full range of treatments.
