• Visit the Cape May Lighthouse: Explore this historic landmark at Cape May Point State Park and climb to the top for panoramic views of the surrounding area. Built in 1859, the lighthouse is a symbol of Cape May and offers a fascinating glimpse into the area's maritime history.  The park is also an excellent place to take in Cape May's birding, which is some of the best in the world, so bring those binoculars!  

• Relax on the Beaches: Cape May is renowned for its beautiful beaches. Spend a day soaking up the sun, swimming in the Atlantic Ocean, or taking a leisurely stroll along the shoreline. Some popular beaches in Cape May include Sunset Beach, Poverty Beach, and Higbee Beach.

• Take a Trolley Tour: Discover the city's Victorian charm and learn about its rich history on a trolley tour. These guided tours take you through the streets of Cape May, showcasing the well-preserved Victorian architecture and providing insights into the city's past.  Horse drawn carriage tours are also available, leaving from the downtown Washington St. mall area.
• Shop on Washington St Mall: The Washington St mall is a great way to find unique gifts and momentos; with no cars allowed it creates a family-friendly and relaxed atmosphere.  It's also within walking distance of Cape May's most historic homes, outstanding restaurants, and more!  Check out Congress Hall at the end of the mall, one of the most historic hotels in the country!

• Enjoy Water Activities: Cape May is a great destination for water sports and activities. Go fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, or even try your hand at surfing. There are several rental shops and tour operators in the area that can provide equipment and guide you on these adventures.  Don't miss out on the birding tours aboard the Osprey, or the whale/dolphin watching cruises!

• Visit Historic Sites: Cape May is home to many historic sites that offer a glimpse into its past. Explore the Emlen Physick Estate, a beautifully preserved Victorian mansion that now serves as a museum. The Cape May Historic District is also worth a visit, with its charming streets lined with Victorian houses.  The official NJ Harriet Tubman Museum is also in Cape May.  Tubman once worked in Cape May, and the town was a major point on the Underground Railroad!

• Indulge in Seafood Delights: Being a coastal town, Cape May is renowned for its fresh seafood cuisine. Sample delicious crab cakes, clam chowder, lobster rolls, and other seafood specialties at the various restaurants and seafood shacks in the area.
