Sooner than you think, Ocean City will be ringing in the New Year. Admission buttons for the popular "First Night" went on sale on Oct. 8 at the Fall Block Party. Here's where you can buy them if you missed it.
Buttons are only $15 until Nov. 30, going up to $20 on Dec. 1. One button gets you admission to all programs during the event. You can buy buttons online: CLICK HERE
In-person:
- City Hall Welcome Center at 861 Asbury Avenue (9th Street entrance): 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily (except 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve, closed on Christmas Day, and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on New Year’s Eve).
- At the Roy Gillian Welcome Center (9th Street causeway): 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday & Sunday; 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Christmas Eve, closed on Christmas Day; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
- At the 46th Street Welcome Center (4500 block of West Avenue): 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, closed Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Christmas Eve and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
- Pickup at will-call will be available daily at the City Hall Welcome Center (Ninth Street entrance). Button sales and will-call pickup will be at the City Hall Welcome Center 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. on the day of the event (Dec. 31). After 9 p.m. on First Night, will call orders can be picked up at the Sports & Civic Center.
Celebrating its 30th year in Ocean City, First Night is a family-friendly tradition that offers more than 70 programs at 20 different venues throughout town on Dec. 31.
"Spend 'Saturday in the Park' and catch 'Saturday Night Fever' at the Music Pier on Saturday, Dec. 31 as the Music Pier features the BeeGees tribute band Stayin Alive and the high-energy Chicago tribute band Brass Transit," Ocean City said on its website. "The return of perennial favorites like outdoor ice-skating, rides at Wonderland Pier, magic shows, the Harlem Wizards and a variety of musical performances also highlight the entertainment lineup."
