This week’s trending looks from Instagram—showcasing a hybrid blend we like to call vintage-modern—are the perfect place to fire up your motivation. The style combines the best of gilded antiques and plush velvet of yesteryear with modern furniture and the fresh color schemes of today.

Ready for a dreamy space with bright inspiration and cozy vibes alike? Here are five bedroom looks you’ll want to steal ASAP.

1. Gilded organizers

“If you want to add a little glam to your bedroom inexpensively, gilded organizers are the way to go,” says designer Doreen Amico-Sorell, of Sorell Interiors. “Not only do they add that old-world elegance, but these gilded organizers will also help keep your room tidy.”

2. Salmon pink bedding

Salmon is a shade of pink that’s lately taken the design world by storm. And one of the best ways to try it out in your bedroom is with the bedding itself—just like we see in this post from @decoratingdiaries.

“The whole interior design world has been going toward warmer tones recently,” says Amico-Sorell. “Salmon pink makes for a great update to your bedding. The color plays very well with all neutrals while also adding that extra pop.”

3. Clover-green velvet reading chair

Another bedroom color we can’t get enough of this season is clover green, especially when it’s displayed on a romantic velvet reading chair like this one from @albanyparkhome.

“Green velvet or velvet of any color is so appealing because it marries a vintage look with a modern feel,” says designer Carmen Smith, of Living Letter Home. “Velvet is a forgiving fabric that invites warmth and coziness, and doesn’t lack at all in style.”

4. Whitewashed nightstand

If you have an old nightstand that could use a little TLC, you might want to consider a whitewash. For inspiration, just check out this nightstand featured on @homebyemj.

“Bedroom furniture does not have to be a matching set anymore,” says Amico-Sorell. “For a quick refresh, swap out your nightstands for whitewashed ones. Or better yet, whitewash the old ones yourself.”

5. Layers of ‘cottagecore’

We all love a good plaid or floral print on its own. But layering a variety of these “cottagecore”-inspired designs together lends itself to the bedroom, as seen in this lovely post from @keelerandco.

“Cottagecore is all about comfort and vintage decor,” says Amico-Sorell. “Don’t be afraid to layer your textiles with plush warm tones of patterns and florals to re-create this same welcoming, lived-in look.”
