July 4th Events At The Shore!

Happy 4th of July Week! 

Here is a thorough list of events for Cape May County beach towns!  Enjoy and contact us today to see any home for sale or to get your home SOLD!  

Avalon

  • June 30 at 10 a.m.: Field races and family activities at 10th St. Athletic Fields.
  • July 2 at 7 p.m.: 63rd Army Band free concert at Surfside Park (30th St. and the beach). Concert is followed by a screening of “Hotel Transylvania 3.”
  • July 3 at 6 p.m.: Mummers Parade. Parade begins at Avalon Community Hall (3001 Avalon Ave.), goes to Dune Drive and then to Veterans Plaza (2101-2117 Dune Drive).
  • July 4 at 11:30 a.m.: Boat Parade
  • July 4 at 7 p.m.: Bay Atlantic Symphony concert at Avalon Community Hall (3001 Avalon Ave.)
  • July 4 at 8:45 p.m.: Firework display on 30th St. Beach. Fireworks will be set to music which you can hear on WCZT 98.7FM.

Cape May

  • July 1 at 7 p.m.: United States Air Force Heritage of American Band free concert at Cape May Convention Hall (714 Beach Ave.).
  • July 4 at 9 p.m.: Cape May Fireworks Extravaganza at Congress Beach.
  • July 6 at 1 p.m.: Independence Day Parade. Parade begins at Philadelphia and Beach avenues, and continues down Beach Ave. to Patterson Ave.
  • July 6-7 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.: Independence Day Celebration at Historic Cold Spring Village (720 US 9). Celebrations include militia musters, concerts, historic games and crafts. Admission is $14 for adults, $12 for children ages 3-12.

Ocean City

  • July 2 at 7 p.m.: Mummers Parade on the boardwalk between 6th and 14th streets.
  • July 3 at 10:30 a.m.: Pie Eating Contest at Music PIer (Mooryln Terrace and Boardwalk). Event is free, but you should pre-register to be a competitor by calling 609-399-6111. Part of the town’s Wacky Wednesday program.
  • July 3 at 7:30 p.m.: A Star-Spangled Spectacular! Concert by Maestro Vince Lee and the Ocean City POPs at Music Pier (Mooryln Terrace and Boardwalk). Tickets are $20-$25 and can be purchased at oceancityvacation.com/boxoffice.html
  • July 4 at 10 a.m.: Two bike parades, one 40th and Asbury and the other at Longport Bridge parking. Registration begins at 9 a.m. for both.
  • July 4 at 7 p.m.: Fourth of July Celebration with kite flying competition (7 p.m.) and fireworks display (9 p.m.) by Music PIer (Mooryln Terrace and Boardwalk).

Sea Isle City

  • July 4 at 7:30 p.m.: Independence Day Concert by the Patriot Brass Band at Excursion Park (JFK Blvd. and Pleasure Ave.).
  • July 4 at 9 p.m.: Fireworks at 50th St. Beach.

Stone Harbor

  • July 4 starting at 9 a.m.: Fourth of July Annual Races and Contests. Registration starts at 9 a.m. at the 82nd St. Recreation Pavilion, with opening ceremonies at 10 a.m. Contests include a sand sculpting contest, foot races, home run derby, slow bike race and decorated bike event.
  • July 4 from noon-9 p.m.: Women’s Civic Club Fourth of July Food Fest at the Women’s Civic Club parking lot (96th St. and the beach)
  • July 4 at 7:30 p.m.: Jazz and Blues concert and fireworks. Concert at 95th St. Beach Pavilion. Fireworks begin at dusk.

    Wildwoods

    • July 4 at 9 a.m.: Independence Day Family Parade. Starts at 9 a.m. at 9th and Atlantic avenues in North Wildwood and ends at 1st and Surf avenues. Check in begins at 8:15 a.m.
    • July 4 at 9 a.m.: Patriotic Pooch Parade at Bill Henfey Park (8th and Atlantic avenues, North Wildwood). All patriotically dressed dogs can join. Check-in is at 8:15 a.m.
    • July 4 at 7:30 p.m.: Juliano Brothers Band concert and fireworks at Bryne Plaza (3400 Pacific Ave., Wildwood).
    • July 4 at 10 p.m.: Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular at Pine Ave. beach in Wildwood. Rain date is 10 p.m. July 5.
