One of the most historic entertainment buildings at the Shore has found a new lease on life thanks to Town Square Entertainment. 

The group which operates Harbor Square Theatre (Stone Harbor), Tilton Square Theatre (Northfield) and Ventnor Square Theatre (Ventnor) announced that they had purchased the Moorlyn Theatre on a social media post last week.

"The Moorlyn has long been a dream project for us due to its incredibly rich history in serving Ocean City and surrounding community with entertainment since the early 1900's," Town Square Entertainment wrote.  

Opened in 1905, it was the first large entertainment building on the Ocean City Boardwalk.  It was converted to a 1,600 seat theater in 1929, where it operated in this form for nearly 100 years.  In 2018, the building became vacant and disused.
