A new non-casino attraction will be coming to Atlantic City adding to the family-friendly entertainment options that will complement Lucky Snake Arcade and Sports Bar.
Philadelphia developer Bart Blatstein, CEO of Tower Investments, Inc. and owner of Showboat Atlantic City announced through a press release that a groundbreaking will be held on Jan. 12 for ISLAND Waterpark and will be the largest beachfront indoor waterpark in the world.
The 103,000-square-foot year-round waterpark will be located right next to Showboat on New Jersey Avenue and will feature waterslides, a lazy river, pools, retail outlets, party rooms and lounge areas. A retractable glass-pane roof will make it a year-round attraction.
Last year Blatstein opened Lucky Snake, a family-friendly arcade and entertainment complex, on the former casino floor at the Showboat. The $7 million attraction includes New Jersey’s largest arcade, a sports bar with a boxing ring, an e-sports gaming area, live entertainment venues and a speakeasy.
“We have the largest sports bar and arcade on the East Coast,” Blatstein said before cutting the ribbon for the 100,000 square-foot complex during its grand opening last May.
During a sneak peek of Lucky Snake the month before, Blatstein said that the next family-friendly attraction will be the $100 million water park.
