Ready to hit the beach this year? Be sure to pack some sunscreen, a towel, and your wallet. While some of the beaches along the always popular Jersey Shore are free, many require the purchase of a beach tag to enjoy the sand and surf.
Beachgoers in many towns have different options, ranging from day rates to season passes. Children 11 and younger do not require a beach badge in New Jersey, although some private beaches may charge for the little ones. Also, many beaches offer free or discounted tags for active military members and veterans. Please check with the municipality for details.
